The Sox spanked the Southside Sox over the weekend, and I was half afraid to blog about it, fears of jinxing and all. So now that that’s over, and I can luxuriate in the 16-0 Tiger thrashing of the toothless Yankees… it’s a great day.
Which is not to say I won’t be on tenterhooks the whole of the Sox-Yankees series. Brilliant scheduling by MLB, to have almost all the first-place teams play the second-place ones this week (Sox-Yankees, Angels-Mariners, Mets-Phillies, Cubs-Brewers, Dbacks-Padres). Obviously it couldn’t have been planned, but what a week of baseball it shapes up to be.
