FINALLY. I’m screaming, I’m crying, I’m miserable as hell because I’ve been laid low by allergies and I’m the happiest man on this island. It’s true: the Yankees bullpen is really just Gordon and Rivera, and even they’ve been hittable this series. Leskanic is a folk hero, Foulke in the 7th now looks like a brilliant move, and David Ortiz’s ability to hit game-winning homers… CULT.
Edit: Mad props also dished out to - Derek Lowe, who may have rescued his career; Alan Embree, for going more than 1 inning; and Bill Mueller, whose ability to hit off Mariano is preternatural, and who made up for Game 1 today…
By the way, thanks to the Sox for waiting till lunchtime so I could come home and see the gamewinning hit. Next time, I don’t need the heart attack - just hit the Yankees early, and hit them often!
