Jayson Stark has a piece on the Expos moving to DC. Really. Perhaps. Definitely maybe. But really, the Expos should have a permanent home, instead of being MLB’s paid barnstormers. Can they bring along Youppi!?
If they do move to DC, I’d like to see the Washington Senators name revived. First in war, first in peace, last in the American League, that sort of thing. Well, now last in the National League, but the idea is still the same. And if they choose to move to Northern Virginia instead of DC, they can be the Northern Virgins. I can hear the colour commentary now: “And the Virgins reach first base…”
